We are a recently retired couple in our fifties. We just sold our family home in Winnipeg since our 3 kids moved out and are free to tackle our bucket list. The first item is to attend Bible school together at Capernwray. To make it possible we are looking for a rental home from August 01, 2017 to June 01, 2018. We have been homeowners for the past 35 years therefore we know how to care for a property. We are dependable, non-smoking, no pets, very clean and quiet people. Please contact us via email at smjba@shaw.ca or phone Sylvain 204-333-2397 or Martine 204-228-5900
Merci , Thank you

CVRD director Mel Dory will be joining the Thetis Island Local Trust Committee this coming Tuesday the 18th to talk about the CVRD Burning bylaw proposal.
The meeting is scheduled for 9:30am in the Forbes hall Library.
This will be a brief item to determine the level of interest and the necessity for public consultation on Thetis.
Thetis Island included in Area G is not presently included in the proposed bylaw.
If you are concerned about air quality or your need to burn yard waste you may want to join us for this discussion.
Please note that the Thetis Island Volunteer Fire department currently manages open burning, and burn permits.
We're going to be working on the next issue of the Quarterly in May, so please start to think about any stories, articles, reports, notices, pictures, ads etc etc that you want in there. We will need to know what we have to work with, by the 10th of May.
Please send whatever to Veronica at veronicashelford@gmail.com or call to discuss at 250 246 1509.
Ads should go to Carol at sowerby@seaside.net
Thank you!
Sunday service will be held at Forbes Hall starting at 10 A.M. Thetis Island Community Church welcomes everyone to join them in celebrating the Risen Lord. Communion will be served during the service as well. Our speaker will be Garry Wickett who writes, “My texts ar. Matt 26: 57-68 and John 20: 24-29. The title will be "Jesus-the Lord God. “
It is our church’s tradition to arrange spring flowers in a specially wired crucifix as you come into the service so please remember your daffodils or whatever you have blooming that would be suitable. If you have an abundance of blooms, perhaps you might considering bringing some extra along for those who have none.
