Attention Thetis Island Cat Lovers:

Aislinn's friend from VIU, Sara Holmes, is unfortunately unable to keep her two neutered  3 year old cats Bemo and Gus in her current housing, and is looking for a family to take and love them.  They are brothers and have been together since birth and their ideal home would adopt them both.  

Thanks for considering and/or sharing with those who might be looking for a couple of feline family members. Sara is very appreciative!

Chemainus Elementary Bookfair

There will be a Scholastic Book Fair at the Chemainus Elementary School Library on Feb. 26th and 27th from 8:30-3:30.

This is a great place to purchase books for kids that are from aged zero to 13.

The Beaver is at it Again!

The beaver's construction in the culvert has created this huge lake in Lawrence Valley.  Until it gets drained, there's no loop to the trail.

Solid Waste Committee

The company, All Battery Ltd, in Duncan recycles old cellphones and will also purchase phones that no longer work  or you are getting rid of.

Reminder: All recyclable materials such as metal, glass, plastic, that contained any food products should be cleaned before bringing them into the solid waste site.

Forbes Hall Community Dinner ~ Saturday, February 24th

Looking forward to a great group of islanders joining together to celebrate the upcoming expansion of Forbes Hall.  Get some friends & neighbours together, and make an evening of it!

A group of eager volunteers will be creating a special double-menu’ed dinner designed to include all, with children & toddlers plates available, as well.
