Only a few days left to enter this year's contest.  Be brave and enter that photo you know you've taken!

thetisblog’s third anniversary's photo contest, looking for the quintessential picture of Thetis or our community, to grace the front page of the blog.

Rules: the photo must have been taken on Thetis, or looking at Thetis.  It must have been taken between May 1st 2014 and April 30th 2015.  Only three submissions per person, please.  All submissions need to have been taken by the person submitting them. Please include your name, the general area & the date the photo was taken.  If the photo is of a community event, please mention the event.  E-mail your photo in full-sized format to editor@thetisblog.net 

The winner will win home baking by Ann Dickie, and the photo will shown be on the front page of the blog for the next six months.  The runner-up’s photo will be shown on the front page for the six months following.  A gallery of all submitted photographs will be created on thetisblog. 

Wanted ~ 12 People for Nutrition Case Study

Hello friends and fellow islanders,

I am in the final stages of completing a course in Natural Nutrition.  The purpose of this course is to reacquaint ourselves with live, natural and good quality food, and to learn how to use our food as medicine to restore our innate vitality; and to increase our awareness and well being.  I am looking for 12 people who would be willing to complete a Lifestyle Analysis and a Nutri-systems questionnaire in the next two weeks.  

These two evaluations, coupled with a phone or in-person interview and a follow up session will be free to the first 12 people who contact me,

Friday Evening Ping Pong Cancelled

Ping pong will be cancelled this Friday evening because of a conflicting event. Join us Sunday afternoon at 2 pm.

New Flapper Valve has been installed ~

On May 7th, the new flapper valve was installed on the culvert under Pilkey Point Road by the lagoon near the end of Marina Drive.  This will help to manage mosquito populations.  Thanks to Andy Newall, area manager for M.O.T., Grant Gordon, Don Hunter, Ian Ralston, and Wilf Scheuer.
