Domaine Jasmin Opens for the Season

This Saturday, May 16th, Domaine Jasmin opens for the season. The tasting room will be open from 12-4 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday until Thanksgiving weekend.

We'll be releasing three new wines, one of which is the 100% estate grown 2013 Pinot Noir, which we've entered in this year's All Canadian Wine Championships. Results are due on Friday.

In support of the Thetis Island Nature Conservancy, we'll pledge half of our opening day sales.

Drop in and check out the new wines!

Carpenter Position Available on Thetis

This is a summer position helping me with various projects on my property on Thetis.  These include shingling a garage, replacing ceilings in 2 houses, laying 3000 square feet of hardwood and tile, painting, and dock and deck repairs.

I have regularly hired students for similar work over the last 10 years.  I have all the tools and supplies on-site.

The plan is that we would work together on each project. The pay is $15 an hour to you as a contractor. My initial thought is to work about 6 hours per day, 5 days per week.  The work could continue through September.

If this interests you, please send your résumé to Gerry Taft gftaft@yahoo.ca
