Seniors Dinners

Mark your calendars for the new season of Seniors' Dinner Events!

Remember, seniors 55 and over may each bring two guests. Seating begins at 5:30 PM. Reservations must be made in advance, although we can sometimes wiggle in some late people. However, once you have made a commitment, you are responsible for the dinner fee if you do not advise the reservations clerk by the deadline you cannot make it! The fee is $18 paid at the door. "Refreshments are available" (the only statement that the BC Liquor Board allows us to make!)

Information about the first dinner of the season, including the menu, will be published at a later date.

Carpet Cleaner & Dog Crate

Wanted to rent or borrow a steam cleaner for carpets.

Also, looking to swap our large metal dog kennel for a small to medium size one. Ours is too big for our little dog. Included is a plastic tray that slides out for cleaning; collapses flat.

If you can help with either,

Thanks from TICA...

A big thank you to all that came out to the Flea Market and Cafe TICA on Saturday. Even though the rain made a few brief appearances it didn't dampen (ha, ha) the spirit of the day. Lots of interesting goodies to chose from at the Flea Market and to satisfy your hunger there was a great lunch put on by Cafe TICA . A big thank you to all the volunteers that came out and helped set up, display, cook, clean-up and pack away.
A big thank you to Virginia and her team for feeding the masses and to her family who all came out to lend a hand.
To those that helped set out all the tables and chairs the night before. Hats off to you.
These community events are fun and take a lot of volunteer hours and we thank all of those in the past, present and future who have and will help out at numerous events. If you want to get involved with any of these events contact a TICA member to ask how you can be a part of this team.

The next event on our community list is the Plant and Bulb sale on Saturday, October 4th.
We still need perennials for the sale so if you have an abundance of plants that need a home let Lesley Buhr know (416-1333). More information on this event will be coming to you shortly
Thank you
Gloria and the TICA team

Flea Market & Cafe TICA are on!

Vendors and diners will not be bothered by excessive sun.
Looks like the perfect day for a picnic BBQ at the Hall.  If by some slim chance the weatherman has goofed, vendors and diners will find sufficient tables tucked inside to carry on.  Relax on Labour Day...Shop for treasures & bargains...Enjoy some lunch...Take home supper!

SEE You Tomorrow, Saturday, August 30th, at the Community Centre
