Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 10:27AM This note is to inform you of some recent changes at our Thetis Island Local Trust Committee level:
1) We are pleased to welcome Aleksandra Brzozowski as our new planner for the Thetis Local Trust Area. Planner Brzozowski is available by phone: 1-250-247-2207 or toll free: 1-800-663-7867 (ask for her at the Islands Trust Gabriola Island Office); and by email: abrzozowski@islandstrust.bc.ca
2) We offer our hearty congratulations to Planner Courtney Simpson who has been promoted to Regional Planner Manager for the Northern Office on Gabriola Island.
3) Our regular Thetis Island Local Trust Committee business meetings now begin at 9:15 am, in the Community Centre Library. The remaining scheduled regular business meetings for 2013 are on the following dates on Wednesdays: June 5; July 24; Sept. 25; and Nov. 20.
4) Due to the current very low use of regular planner hours on Thetis Island we now offer on island planner visits by appointment rather than with each regularly scheduled business meeting as had been the practice. A face to face meeting or site visit with a planner can be very helpful so don't hesitate to request a one if needed. Please contact Planner Brzozowski by phone or email, as noted above, to book an appointment.

Saturday, May 11th at 2:30PM to approx 4:30PM.
The purpose of the meeting is to review/discuss and gain feedback for the sustainability of our solid waste system, as well as consider raising our parcel tax budget cap.

Have your home extinguishers checked by Aggressive Fire Safety. Purchase extinguishers for your home, shop, car, boat. Door prize draw.
