Seniors Dinner ~ February 17th

The fifth dinner of the season will take place on Sunday, February 17th at Forbes Hall. Please RSVP by Wednesday, January 9th to donella123@aol.com or leave a note for Dee, Box 16-2 in the Drop Box by 5 PM.

Seating is at 5:30 PM. Pay $18 at the door. Wine $2.50, liqueur & port $2.00

Seniors  60 & over may each bring two guests.

School Orchards Africa ~ Penny Drive

SCHOOL ORCHARDS AFRICA is collecting the soon-to-be-discontinued pennies you may have  wasting away in jars, bowls, pockets, drawers etc.  These pennies can be put to great use in helping us purchase fruit trees to be planted at rural schools in Tanzania.  There will be a jar to accept your donations at the post office or, if needed, we can come out to collect them from you. Thetis Kora Update ~

It is with great pleasure that we announce Thetis Kora has been invited to exhibit at the Vagina Monologues performance in Duncan B.C. Feb 16 2013 at the Cowichan Theatre.

The performance of Eve Ensler’s award winning play has been a yearly event across the globe always occurring around Valentines Day. Click here for more information about the performance. 

All proceeds go towards CWAV (Cowichan Women Against Violence) and their ongoing programs in our area. The theme for this year is: The Art of Healing; The Healing Arts. Thetis Kora will be installed in a room adjacent to the lobby and is a major component to this year's performance. There will be a reception at 5:30 followed by the play at 7:30. The play lasts about 90 minutes. Reception tickets are $10.00. Vagina Monologues tickets are $22.50.
