Pickup from Apple Press in Duncan

The print proof of the Visitors' Guide is expected to be ready for pickup any time this coming Tuesday (the 7th).

If anyone is in Duncan that day and can spare the time to swing by and get it for us, that would be very much appreciated. The address is 430 Trans Canada Hwy, just north of Coronation on the east side of the highway. It might even be ready later Monday afternoon (they're open 'til 5). Hi, does anyone on the island have a scrap vehicle(s) they’d like picked up? 

We have someone coming to move a trailer for us this week, and he also happens to be a scrap hauler. He’d be more than happy to take away a vehicle or two while he’s here.

Looking for 5-gallon Food Grade Buckets with Lids

Hello Fellow Islanders.

Fortunately for you, I have a great use for all those 5-gallon buckets with lids that are collecting in your shed, threatening to topple over.

In case you are wondering what I need them for... Well to grow zucchini of course. Trying the Kratky method this year... I'll keep you updated...
You will know it worked if I don't post looking for zucchini or cucumbers this year.

A reminder of today's Improvement District Election and AGM.

Saturday May 4th (International Firefighters Day) Forbes Hall Community Centre 

Voting for 2 vacant trustee positions:  

The Poll is open from 10 AM to 11 AM.

Candidates are Fred Adair; Ian Ralston; Dixon Strachan; Michelle Sutter.

To be eligible to vote you need to be a Canadian citizen, 18 years or older, a resident of BC for at least 6 months prior to the vote and own land in the Improvement District.

AGM to commence shortly after 11 AM.
