Bingo January 19th 6:30-8:30

Bingo this Friday! 

But bingo is only part of the story. It is first and foremost a chance to gather together. An all-ages event, it provides a chance to mix with all generations. 

We sit with friends, yak, eat donated snacks, and just have fun. I am still working on getting the kid's names right.

And, yes, we play 10 games of bingo in two hours.

Capernwray Harbour Ferry Traffic Sunday January 14, 2024

Our students will be returning from their Christmas break on Sunday, January 14, 2024 on scattered afternoon ferries. 

We wanted to make sure the community was aware and informed of how this may affect ferry travel for that day.

Getting the Most Current Ferry Webcam image

Many people are still experiencing problems getting a reliable image from the webcam. The webcam itself, although an older camera, is still taking the pictures and they are still going to https://www.thetisisland.net/ferry/. The problem seems to be with the cache in various browsers. To keep your pages loading quickly, browsers hang onto as much as possible, even if you hit the "Refresh" tab. I have recently learned that what one needs to get past the browser's clutch on the current image is something called a "hard refresh". This is achieved in different ways on different browsers. You can do a web search for "hard refresh" if the following two links don't solve the issue for you:
