Lives behind the Headstones

Just in time for Christmas a new reprinting of Lives Behind the Headstones written by Sheila Kelsey is available. This is a much loved documentation and history of the first settlers on Thetis as well as other elders of the community that are buried in St.Margaret’s Cemetery.

Thank You

SOAS would like to thank the many people who so generously supported us at the Christmas Bazaar. With donations nearing $600.00, we are well poised for our upcoming project which will be another permaculture installation.

Shirley Burr was the winner of a Fuji apple tree. Congratulations Shirley and a heartfelt thank you to all our supporters.

Gardening: Looking for a Valuable Member of the Brassicaceae Family -> Horseradish

I've always grown it in the north and like to add it to our garden again.

Does anyone grow Horseradish and can share some?

Like pencil diameter root pieces and ~ 2" to 3" long will work to get started.
Please let me know.
Thanks, Matthias
