Monday, April 20, 2026 at 7:24AM I’ve left my dark red yoga mat in the exercise equipment area at Forbes Hall for these last couple years to use Tuesday and Friday mornings. It’s no longer at the hall. Please return it and feel free to use it at the hall but don’t take it home.
Thank you,
Sue French

Bring an instrument, your voice or just the desire to be part of a musical moment.
Hoping to open the possibility of a Thetis community musical expression.
Everyone welcome.

Monday, April 20, 2026 at 7:23AM Yoga is cancelled for April 20th.
Island Trust is having a large meeting in the hall tomorrow.
See you next week.
Warmly, Dawn
May Howling Wolf be supported by the community that it has supported for many years, decades even.
Monday, April 20, 2026 at 7:19AM Just to let folks know there is an island trust meeting Monday AM full of things on the agenda:
Agenda is on island trust website but included are
1 Howling wolf market bylaw issues.
2 Reading of New Bylaw being recommended regarding required storage tanks of 2000 gallons, / fences, and unlicensed vehicles/
3 There was a proposed change to the notification bylaw to add e-spokes to the required notifications for Thetis Island, There is now a request to cancel that change and not notify via e-spokes
Anyway, I am just suggesting that if you are interested or care about any of the above might be good to go to a meeting or let your trustees know your concerns.

Or
Vegetarian Baked Mac and Cheese with Crispy Breadcrumb and Veggie Bacon Bits Topping, also Mini Veggies in Cheese Buns

Suggested donation of $7 for soup, bread, treats and teas & coffee.
Soup’s On is entirely carried out by volunteers and, as one of the tasks is the program’s accounting, please do not pay with coins smaller than Loonies and Toonies. As all change must be counted and rolled.
For those who find large groups challenging, enjoy your lunch in this week’s designated quiet room, the Boardroom.
Everyone is welcome to join us, seniors, seniors who don’t think they’re seniors, workers, families, and everyone who just wants a mid-day meal!
Menu remainders for take-out when available. Soup’s On also supports the Thetis Island Food Pantry.
Coupon Booklets of 10 for your convenience, $70.00
Thanks to everyone for your support through this past season, we love seeing you and love feeding you!

Sunday, April 19, 2026 at 11:16AM On Saturday May 9th from 10-3, St. Margaret’s Cemetery Committee will be having its annual maintenance day. The cemetery is a vault of island history and is the permanent home for many of our forebears. From tidying up headstones, to general landscaping there will be a range of projects to suit everyone's interests and abilities. We welcome all Islanders.
Please plan to join us, we encourage everyone to participate. If possible, please bring small garden tools for general landscaping and/or scrub brushes and water pails to clean grave markers. We would encourage you to contribute to the picnic lunch, where we will remember and celebrate the lives that came before us.
Please contact me if you have any questions.

Sunday, April 19, 2026 at 11:10AM When you arrive at Forbes Hall you will notice a black container along with a few gardening tools just outside the front door.
The sign on the container says PUT WEEDS HERE so, if you have spare time before or after a meeting or activity please help out, pull some weeds, and empty the container in the compost if full.
The spring clean-up at Forbes Hall is scheduled for Saturday, May 23rd and it would be helpful to have a head start on the weeds, they are growing fast!
Thank you

Sunday, April 19, 2026 at 11:09AM I have seven bundle rolls of 24+ healthy ever-bearing strawberry starts that are ready to plant. I am selling each bundle roll of 24 + for $12 each. Or take all seven bundles for $75. I have noticed that one plant of similar size at Country Grocer costs $2.49, so this is a very cost-effective way of starting a delicious strawberry bed this year.

Sunday, April 19, 2026 at 11:09AM Just a reminder, lots of mozzie larvae in small water containers.
Please check anything that holds water.
Hopefully rain barrels have some screen on them.
Ponds often keep things under control.
Thanks
