In Appreciation of the Soup's On Committee

A great big THANK YOU to the Forbes Hall Soup’s On crew for their gustatory delights every Wednesday for the past six months. Not only were we able to sample such a wonderful variety of soups and home-made breads, but the dessert goodies alone were 5 star. This weekly event throughout the winter and early spring allowed for great community connections and camaraderie. Speaking personally, I was delighted to meet several new-to-our-island residents as well as be available for face-to-face quick informal meetings for fire department issues. I am also sure many others took advantage of the convivial lunch atmosphere and found advice, concern, and assistance and new friendships through the connections made over a steaming bowl of soup and a hot cup of coffee. The weekly volunteers who make this event such a huge success are wonderful and I hope that others will join their merry band in the Fall to continue this valuable work.

What's Fresh @ Jollity + We Need Egg Cartons!

We've stocked up the Thetis Island Marina with local milk and yogurt, free range eggs, salads, dressing and tapenade. You can get it here or you can get it there!

WE NEED EGG CARTONS!

Suddenly our big stock is dwindling and we'll happier reuse all your egg cartons that are clean and still have good use in them. Drop by the kiosk anytime or bring to the farm. If you know of a big stockpile anywhere, we'll gladly pick up. Thanks!

Jollity is open Saturday 10am - 1pm. It's planting time!

So many lovely 2" annual basket and pot stuffers in the plant nursery this week, plus bags of organic potting soil.
