Covid Clinic on Thetis

Many islanders are getting their notifications that they are now eligible for their booster shots and are asking about it.

This is just a reminder that the TICA Health Care Committee will be meeting on Thursday with representatives from VIHA to discuss the possibility and timing of a Covid vaccine clinic here on Thetis.

They expect to be able to report on the results of the meeting on Friday.  We will put out an update as soon as we know whether and when you can have it done here.

ThINC Nature House Activities Today

9:00 am start: Wednesday Wander at North Cove Beach (all ages)
This week’s Wander will be an easy stroll along the coast, during the walk we will use iNaturalist to record bird, plant, and marine species we spot along the way! We will also talk about the shell midden present on this beach. Meet at the very end of North Cove Road for this hour-long excursion!

2:00 pm start: How to Make Herbal Infused Vinegars & Sea Salt at the PAG, Lot 62 North Cove Road (all ages)
Make your own infused vinegars and sea salt using herbs from the PAG! In this 1-hour workshop, we will be using common herbs from the garden to make delicious garnishes. Infused vinegars can spice up a salad dressing and infused sea salt make a delicious addition to any meal! Come on down to the People's Apothecary Garden for a demonstration and take home your own goodies!

Help Move Some Branches - $30 per hour

I’ve got more tree branches than I can handle, so please help me drag them to the burn pile. I estimate about three or four hours work, pretty easy beer money. Gloves supplied. Foster Point location.
