On Thursday, October 21st, at 5:30 PM, the TSOP will meet to listen to the lecture titled: Canadian Oil : Can an Eco friendly person feel good about supporting the Alberta Oil Sands? For the location please call Ellen at 778 316 9303.
Variable speed Braun MultiQuick wand style blender, model MQ 725. We have upgraded to a newer model, but this one still works great. We have used it mainly for making fruit smoothies, but this is an all purpose blender. Set includes 600 ml beaker, 350 ml mini chopper, and a whisk attachment. Original booklet included which shows which accessories are available. $40.

Greetings, islanders
I will be in the library from 10:00 to 11:00 tomorrow. Come and see what our library has for you. Maybe you have requests. Meet your librarian. Caregivers and children welcome.

Your island librarian with a library.
Looking for recommendations for a renovations contractor...kitchen and flooring.
On Island or off.
It's time to cast your votes.
Thetis Island pasture-raised piggies have enjoyed a wonderful season grazing across forest and field, munching down lots of fall fruits and living a happy life, but soon it is harvest time.
We may get to have 4 sausage varieties made this fall, so let's see which ones win by popular vote.
Please tell us your top two choices:

Does anyone have a spare hay elevator I could buy or borrow?
Thanks in advance!

I am starting work on the next issue of the Thetis Island Phone Book.
Please help me by:
- letting me know if your information has changed. I will be in touch with everyone I can, but if you get to me first, it saves a lot of time.
- If you are new to the island and weren't in the last book, please let me know. If you have neighbours who may not get espokes, could you let them know about this call?
- Even if you don't want to be in the book for some reason, I'll appreciate having that confirmed. Circumstances change, and I try not to take anything for granted.
- If there is something new or different you would like to see in the book, now is the time to suggest it!

The TSOP invites the Thetis Islanders for a presentation titled: Canadian Oil - Can an Eco-friendly person feel good about supporting the Alberta Oil Sands? It starts at 5:30 PM, on Thursday, October 21st. For location please contact Jan at: jcerny07@gmail.com.
Once the new ferry schedule has been confirmed, we can go ahead and print "stickies" of the new schedule for the back of the phone book.
Even though I'm starting work on the new phone book, it won't be out before the end of the year. So this is the second call for an idea of how many stickies you will want. They should be available by the end of the month if not before, provided BC Ferries has no further plans for changes at this time.

Join us this weekend at the People's Apothecary Garden for our second annual Community Walkthrough event! All are welcome to come sip apple cider, chat about plants, stroll through the meandering paths and get some of nature's healing for the soul.
The garden (located on Carolyn Askew's property at lot 62) will be open from 1-3 pm on Sunday, October 24. Proof of vaccination is not required, but please bring your own mug for apple cider. Parking is available up the road at Forbes Hall.
A variety of island-grown plant seed will be available by donation, including Evening Primrose, Plantain, Motherwort, Mullein & Yarrow. (Supplies are limited, so first come first seeded.)
Looking forward to seeing you there!
