The Last Saturday Summer Market on Sunday!

Looking at the weather forecast for Saturday September 4th looks rather rainy and wet (and our tents leak). So, we have decided to have the last market on Sunday Sept 5th. Same time 10-2pm

By the way some vendors are going to set up both days but the majority of us will see you on Sunday.

Dora Wilson will be joining us this Sunday with her traditional Cowichan Sweaters made with local wool. Dora also makes mittens, toques, blankets, and vests.

Dora will also be selling flags and orange t-shirts with "Every Child Matters" logo.

Note: Dora takes orders for sweaters, vests, toques etc. for Christmas gifts. Get your order in.

Thank you for your support.

Thetis Island Merchandise

Come to the market this Sunday and stock up on Thetis Island t-shirts and ball caps.

These shirts and caps make excellent gifts.

You will find a good selection of sizes and colors.

If you are unable to come to the market, or want your t-shirts before, or after the long weekend, simply e-mail me and arrange to pick up.

Thank you to everyone who has generously supported TICA and the Forbes Hall Community Centre through your purchases.

All proceeds benefit the Thetis Island Community Association

I will also have a small amount of hand dyed vintage table linens.

The sale of these linens will go to the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign which is an initiative of the Stephen Lewis Foundation.

The Stephen Lewis Foundation is a non-governmental organization that assists AIDS- and HIV-related grassroots projects in Africa.

Last Market Day at the Pub!

This Saturday will be our last market of the summer! 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., as usual.
Come and say hi to your Thetis and Penelakut vendors before we pack up for the season.
Just follow the signs and find us behind the pub, under the pavilion.

Thank you all for your business this summer!

Lost Dog?

Spotted a small dog (puppy?) by the ferry line up this morning at 8:15 as the cars were loading, heading towards the government dock. Black with a bit of white on face, looked like maybe a Pitbull cross of some kind.

Hope their fam finds them safe!

Need a Home for My Two Cats

I am looking for help please.

I need to find a home for my 2 cats. Temporary for sure, possibly long term.
I may have to drive north shortly as my dad is quite ill. I am not sure how long I could be up there.

My main priority at this point is my two cats and making sure they have a stable home.
They love it here on the island, they are indoor/outdoor cats. They are liter trained although they love being outside so much that they haven't used it once since I've been here.

They are spayed, they have all of their shots and are all up to date. They are beautiful little free creatures. Almost a year old. Rosie and Phoenix. They are brown with dark stripes, Bangel looking, especially Phoenix.
They are amazing mousers. They bring home dinner on the daily.

Please if you know of anyone that can provide a stable home for these two please contact me.

TIA

Thank you!

Looking for Smooth Flat Rocks

We're looking for some smooth flat rocks 1/4" to 3/8" thick, the larger the better with more colourful stones being preferred. We can pick them ourselves from a shoreline if given a location as long as we don't want to trespass.

TIA,
