Our new Chef, Todd Hill has created another amazing menu, one of many that he has created in his years in the culinary industry.  Todd is originally from Langley B.C. His passion for cooking started at a young age and now has 34 years of experience in the culinary industry.  Has also spent the last 20 years experiencing and cooking with flavours from the Caribbean.  His love and passion for his craft can be tasted through his phenomenal  creations.

Over winter we have raised beautiful purebred Tamworth pigs that will be available for purchase (cut and wrapped) by the half, or if you just want a small amount, we will have limited cuts available to mix and match.

If Chicken is more up your alley, we have that too!  On June 12th we will have broiler chickens available for purchase. Free ranging and sun bathing these birds will grow to approximately 8 pounds, but as with nature, sizes will vary. Please contact us with any questions, or to place an order.

If you are a planner (like me!) it’s never too soon to pre order your Thanksgiving & Christmas Turkeys. We will be doing two separate batches for the holidays starting now! These little gobblers will average about 20 pounds, but I’m sure there will be a few over achievers in there too, after all, there are plenty of delicious snacks to find as they free range through the forest!

Summer Student Housing

ThINC has received funding from Canada Summer Jobs to hire up to 4 youth. Similar to the ThINCpod from last summer they will work on more great projects that benefit both the environment and the Thetis community.

We've hired 3 so far including previous Thetis resident Jacob Frankel! Now we are looking for somewhere for them to live from June 15 to August 31. If you can offer accommodation for 1 or more people as a rental or housesitting situation please contact ThINC at info@thetisislandnatureconservancy.org or phone Ann at 250-246-8176.  We would be most grateful.
