Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 5:33PM The Forbes Hall Health Services Committee’s goal is to have Wellness and Health Practitioners offer their services at Forbes Hall. Despite the committee's best efforts we have not found any Practitioners able or willing to do so. The exception is a Registered massage Therapist who came over once or twice a month last summer and is returning this summer.
We need our community members to talk to their Practitioners - Family doctors, RMT, Physio and Acupuncturists - to advocate for services here on Thetis island. A loud voice from clients is the most effective.
Thank you,
Forbes Hall Health Services Committee
Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 5:32PM On Sunday June 19th from 10-3, St. Margaret’s Cemetery Committee will be having its annual maintenance day. The cemetery is a vault of island history and is the permanent home for many of our forebears. From tidying up headstones, to general landscaping there will be a range of projects to suit everyone's interests and abilities.
Please plan to come by and join us. We would encourage you to bring a picnic lunch, where we will remember and celebrate the lives that came before us.
Please contact me if you have any questions.

Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 5:31PM My husband and I are seeking accommodation for ourselves and our two children. My husband and I met at Capernwray Harbour Bible Centre when we were students, and we fell in love with Thetis Island and are keen to move back.
We are currently looking for accommodation and are open to many different kinds and sizes of accommodations and arrangements. We are open to house-sitting arrangements, rental agreements, or parking a tiny house on a property and assisting with land maintenance.
We have consistent income and are happy to provide references.
Thank you for your time.

Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 7:57AM Reminder to Thetis cyclists. We're hosting riders from Salt Spring in our free Tour de Thetis today (June 4) at 11 a.m. starting at our community centre. Everyone -- e-bikers and folks on traditional bikes of any age or fitness level -- is welcome to ride. The full course is almost 30 km, but many of us take shorter, personal routes. Just show up and energize yourself with one of Fred's excellent cookies.

Did you notice the word "delicious" added to our regular title!?
Yeah, we know our veggies are yummy, but when our harvest is transformed into freshly prepared foods — made with love and other organic ingredients — the result is simply delicious!
On the menu this week:
Jolly Sauce (refill your salad dressing bottle)
Rhubarb Custard Bars (back by popular demand)
Asparagus-Tomato-Basil Tarts
Cilantro ChimiChurri Sauce (a zesty topper for almost dish, but especially great with tacos)
Plus:
Fresh greens (oops, sorry last week’s salads were a bit wet, but this week they are back up to par)
Asparagus
Basil
Cilantro
Radish
Arugula
Sprouts
Baby Cukes
Cherry Tomatoes
Eggs
Sausages
Coffee
Kombucha
Dumplings
Ice Cream
The rain cover is back up on our shelter, so come on up, we'll be open and ready to serve you.
Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 7:52AM Lək̓ ʷəŋən, METULIYE/Victoria, B.C. - With one week left to double the impact of donations made to the protection of KELÁ_EKE Kingfisher Forest, Islands Trust Conservancy has shown their support.
With just seven days left to raise an additional $100,000 to meet their $200,000 fundraising target, Islands Trust Conservancy has announced an Opportunity Fund grant of $5,000 to help Raincoast Conservation Foundation and the Pender Islands Conservancy Association protect 18 hectares (44.5 acres) of land known as KELÁ_EKE Kingfisher Forest on North Pender Island. Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor and the Sitka Foundation this donation will be matched, making it a $10,000 contribution towards the protection of this forest.
All donations made to the protection of KELÁ_EKE Kingfisher Forest will be doubled until June 8th (World Oceans Day). Individuals who are interested in making a donation are encouraged to visit https://www.raincoast.org/forest/.
