Friday, May 8, 2020 at 10:36AM SYNOPSIS: Thunderstorms/lightning overnight Wednesday was recorded from Abbotsford north to Whistler, and Lake Cowichan to Bowser but the storms were wet.
Thursday saw the beginning of a drying trend. Humidity is moderate but starting to drop.
OUTLOOK (Friday - Monday): Friday will be very warm, RHs continue downward into the 20% range on Vancouver Island and Fraser areas. Sat, Sun, Mon will trend very warm and dry, with increasing winds and outflow conditions and dropping RHs into the 10-20% range. Mon sees the peak of the outflow winds.
Long range forecasts indicate a return to showers mid week.

Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 10:14AM The last traces of snow are almost gone from Mt. Sicker, so it's time to move the tomatoes outside! The majority of our tomato seeds are certified organic, and/or rare and heirloom varieties. All starts are potted up using certified organic soil.
If you have pre-ordered, then your tomato starts will be aside for pick up this Saturday 10-1. Some varieties are further ahead than others so they will keep coming over the next 2 weeks. Sweet & hot pepper starts are not ready yet, but they will be coming soon.
If you would like to reserve from the list below we will accept, first come, first serve. Some varieties are limited so we will confirm your orders as they come in and as availability continues. We have put sizes & descriptions next to each.

Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 10:09AM Helen and I have thought long and hard on this decision and have decided to cancel this year's Summer Market.
With the Covid-19 still out there we thought it best for Thetis Island to stay free and clear of this pandemic.
Sorry to all and hope that 2021 brings us clear sailing.
Thank you
Gloria and Helen
Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 10:08AM Anyone wishing to get their propane tanks filled on Fridays please bring them down between 11 and 12.
If you bring them after 12(Noon) there is a chance I may not be able to fill them because of my Post Office duties. I am also not here on the weekends so the soonest it would be filled is on Monday.
