Someone has dropped off a letter for Kathleen McIsaac

Thank you.

Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 8:59PM While I was away, there were eight bulletins and newsletters issued by or relating to the Coastal Wildfire Centre. If you missed them earlier, they are all now posted, for your interest and information, at:

Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 8:58PM It looks like we may be able to stay in HIGH Hazard this week and put off heading into EXTREME for several days.
Of course, it all depends upon how much rain actually hits the ground during the upcoming shower activity.
And there is the threat of lightning.

Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 8:55PM You are a British Columbian about to enter grade 10, 11 or 12, who wants to be a leader in your community and beyond.
You are interested in current events and have a passion for politics, social justice or civic engagement. Most importantly, you want to be a catalyst for change.
You might have an idea for a campaign to kick start, or just have that urge to make change in B.C. Maybe you’re already making a difference in your community. Either way, you’re looking for more skills, connections and tools to scale your impact.
Go here to learn more. https://dogwoodbc.ca/summit-2019
We need your fresh ideas and enthusiasm to make world change for the better happen.
Good luck, and go for it!

Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 1:15PM This weekend, June 29th and 30th, the Nature House will be open for the summer!
On Saturday at 11 AM, come watch Andy Lamb and Peter Luckham go for a dive to collect new animals for our seaquarium and help us bring the critters back to the Nature House.
And to celebrate Canada Day early, drop by on Sunday with any kind of fabric (t-shirt, bag, apron, etc.) to paint with real maple leaves.
See you there!

Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 1:12PM We have all had a wonderful school year at Thetis Island Elementary School. We would like to thank the community for all their amazing support during this school year. This includes all our weekly listeners, our seaquarium help (Andy Lamb and Ann Eriksson and more!) Susanne Sarioglu for our Mason Bees, Capernwray, TIPA, TICF, and TICA. We are truly blessed to have this kind of community support.
We raised a total of $465.00 this year selling our jams, dried fruits, fruit leather, apple sauce, salsa, relish and bread and butter pickles. All the students from K-5 participated at some point in this endeavour. Half of these funds raised went to the Food Bank in Duncan and half is for our class to choose something special to purchase next year.
Thanks from
Thetis Island Elementary School Students, Genny Redman, Simone Luckham, Cathy Yeomans and Rhonda Andrews
