Today at the Nature House: Octopuses!

From 11 AM to 12 PM, Junior Biologists (ages 8 - 12) are welcome to drop-in for a lesson on octopuses!

Come learn about cephalopods, the giant pacific octopus and make a camouflage craft! 

By donation of $5 per individual, $10 per family or free for Friends of the Nature House. At the Portal, 254 North Cove Rd.

There are still beautiful pieces in natural fabrics available and lots of curiosities to browse through.

Thank you to all who came forward and offered to take the girls to Nanaimo on Thursday.

It turned out the 8 am floatplane did take off so they didn't have to take the ferry over, but the generous response was really heartwarming.

They are now continuing on with their eastward journey.

Ride to Duke Point Needed ~ for Thursday AM

Due to the smoke our seaplane was cancelled today. Because of that we would be really grateful if we could get a ride to Nanaimo (Duke Point) as soon as tomorrow morning (Thursday) so that we can get to Vancouver by taking the ferry.
