Trying to Locate Roofers

I was working on the Ferry on Thursday morning and met three young guys in a black pickup, they said they were Roofers, coming to Thetis to finish up a job & had roofing material in the back of the truck.....Driver identified himself As Josh or Jessie (?) Does anybody have contact information for these guys or know where they were working?

More Details on the FAC/BCFerries Meeting October 16th

BC Ferries personnel and Penelakut FAC members will be arriving off the 3:35 PM Chemainus departure. Our plan is to start our meeting at 4:45 at the Thetis Island Marina Pub. We will have a working dinner beginning around 5 PM. I expect to be through our agenda items between 6:30 and 6:45 PM.

Folks who wish to listen for the entire meeting are welcome. Or, if you wish to arrive around 6:30 PM we plan to save some time for a question and answer session. BCF staff and Penelakut will catch the 7:25 PM Thetis departure.

Karen McLaughlin is having a solo art show for the month of November in Victoria to showcase the artwork she made while living on Thetis.

Extra Cranberries

Thanks to everyone who supported our school fundraiser by purchasing Yellowpoint cranberries! Due to a small ordering error, we ended up with 6 x1 kg bags left over.

But our mistake could be your good fortune! The cranberries are for sale for $8 per bag and they will be put in the freezer until sold. First come, first served. Please contact Kelly Bannister to purchase at kelly_bannister@telus.net

St. Margaret's Cemetery

The Board of St. Margaret’s Cemetery would like to advise the community of some renovations that will be happening in the cemetery over the next month or two.

Please be aware that there will be machines working in the cemetery area remediating a ditch along with other supporting work being done for this project.

This will result in a temporary disruption to the usual pathway.
