Community Letters
Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 12:22PM It is a privilege to live on Thetis Island and to have become part of the caring community that is centred around our Forbes Hall Community Centre. It is there where attending meetings, joining special groups such as Scottish Country Dancing, “Soup’s On” and Ping Pong, that I have found and made lifelong friends who have literally become a surrogate family to me.
The hall provides this community with a place to meet, celebrate special occasions, to get some exercise, or good books and DVDs from the library. It is a catalyst for the whole community to come together for whatever purpose with the feeling of being welcome and appreciated.
