Nature Stewards Program Information Session - April 22

Hello Thetis Islanders, ThINC is launching a Nature Stewards Program this spring! The Nature Stewards Program is a new initiative in collaboration with the Penelakut First Nation and Islands Trust Conservancy (ITC), with guidance from the Gabriola Land and Trails Trust (GaLTT) and Habitat Acquisition Trust (HAT). It aims to encourage and support Thetis Island residents in the stewarding and regeneration of the land and its biodiversity through habitat rewilding, restoration, preservation, and protection.

To learn more about the program and what to expect, we will be hosting an information session on Saturday, April 22 from 10am - 12pm at Forbes Hall, and a special plant walk post lunch with Penelakut elder, Augie Sylvestor.
