TAP and MAL Forms Clarifications

A. Location of information regarding TAP and MAL for BC Ferries.
https://www.bcferries.com/book-sailings/medical-assured-load...
B. There is a policy that is in addition to TAP (Travel Assistance Program) and does provide for Medical Assured Loading (MAL).
In the link above there is information that delineates when and where a person who also has a TAP can indeed be assured loading, avoiding extended waits in a ferry line up for individuals who have serious medical conditions which require appointments that cannot be met in their immediate community.
These two items can be presented to ferry workers at an unmanned terminal such as Thetis and then the individual (and escort) can be loaded on the ferry. The link has multiple extra links that explain the policy, why the policy exists and how one can go about getting the needed paperwork/documents.
Sincerely,
Sharon Cunningham
C. Regarding yesterday’s e-Spokes posting about TAP forms, I want to clarify that Forbes Hall Health Services Group does not administer TAP (Travel Assistance Program) or MAL (Medical Assured Loading) programs or forms.
For further information on these programs, please go to link above
I apologise if there was any confusion.
