I am in need of a small row boat. Metal or inflatable, it doesn't matter as long as it floats. If you have a small boat you would like to get rid of or sell, please contact me at 250 246 4844 or dan@danielmcgrath.ca.
Thanks

Thanks to the many people who contacted us about interest in supporting a local weather station and shared resources. Through our request, we learned of an existing school-based weather station program at UVic created by Andrew Weaver that is more than we could have hoped for - complete with equipment installation, a sophisticated network, and K-7 curriculum resources for linking with science and math.
We have put our idea for a community meeting "on hold" as we pursue permission from our School District to participate in this existing program. We will share more info and opportunities with the Thetis Island community once we are farther along.

Dear Thetis Islanders,
On behalf of the Heart & Stroke Foundation, I'm connecting with Our island community to deliver life-saving information and raise funds for vital research.
That research could someday help people like Natasha Matthews.
"Sometimes I feel that my dad died so that they could start testing me."
— Natasha Matthews
Natasha was just 2 years old when her dad died. A few years later, doctors diagnosed her with the same potentially fatal heart condition. Like her dad, her aorta can separate at any time. Now 10, Natasha and her doctors are doing all they can to ensure that doesn't happen. Thankfully, it's working.
Would you support me? Your donation will make a huge difference to the families who benefit from research. Through the end of this month there is a donor matching funds given online so if you would like to donate now is an excellent time to do it as the value your gift will be doubled.
Simply go to my secure personal fundraising page at the link below and support a cause we both care about.
Thank you for your generous support,
Sue French
