Or would you simply like to plant something in the garden to share with the Thetis Community.  Meet at the garden at 2 pm on Saturday, April 5 for a free orientation. Native Plant Gardening Workshop Sunday April 6

Join native plant gardening specialist, Pat Johnston, for a presentation on Native Plant Gardening at 1:30 on Sunday, April 6 at Forbes Hall.  Pat will talk about the benefits of using native plants on our properties, show photographs of native plants, discuss how to garden with native plants as well as show photographs of native plant gardens.  Pat likes to work informally so besides looking at pictures of native plants come prepared to ask questions and discuss the joys of gardening with native plants.

Pat  is a Native Plant Gardening Consultant who for the past fourteen years has been helping private and public gardeners incorporate native plants into their landscapes.  She has also partnered with Victoria Capital Regional District’s Water Department, Swan Lake Nature Sanctuary and other community organizations to facilitate over 200 Native Plant Gardening Workshops.  Pat, along with other gardeners, developed a native plant demonstration garden in her own yard and works in various native plant gardens in the Victoria region.  Pat’s passion about our native flora inspires others to want to use them in our gardens.

This workshop is free. Everyone welcome.

Found! Lost: Chain Saw Chain

Many thanks to Paul Deacon, cheers.

Lost ! A little white box about  3" X 4" containing a chainsaw chain, dull, needs sharpening!

I placed it on the back of my car as a reminder to take it in to Island saw for sharpening, of course I drove away and forgot it was there, "early alz".

Somewhere between Bella Vista road and the mail boxes might have flown off, not worth a lot but cheaper than a new one, if any walkers, dog walkers, cyclists or?? came upon it?

Steve: 250 246 2469 Thank you so much

Missing: Coveralls from the Recycle Yard

Corona Gordy had left a pair of coveralls by the Baler at the recycle yard about two weeks ago.  They are a high-end fire resistant issue from TRI-CAN with the company logo.  Most likely they appeared to be in the free store and were fair game.

Gord needs to return them and is hoping he can get them back.  A pair of regular coveralls would be happily traded for this set.

Please call Ernie, 250-252-0144

Many thanks.
