Gratitude to Thetis Islanders for honoring the memory of Will Lennox

Firstly to Shirley, thank you for your tireless and thoughtful organization of a most amazing outpouring of Island generosity.  What an honor it has been , I am overwhelmed by the care and attention. Thank you all for your loving cards, warm hugs, creative gifts of food, and genuine appreciative remembering of the best of Will Lennox. Thank you all !

Gulf Islands Alliance

The Gulf Islands Alliance is seeking expressions of interest from Thetis residents to fill the board seat left vacant by the recent passing of Will Lennox. GIA is a 10-year-old volunteer group of islanders dedicated to support the environmental 'preserve and protect' mandate of the Islands Trust Act. GIA meets quarterly in Chemainus.

Will's Memorial

Many thank yous to all the people who made up my wonderful kitchen team on Sunday afternoon and to the always generous community who provided us with a mountain of goodies to consume. Also thanks to those who helped with the set up and take down of the tables and chairs, the mopping up and the drying up. So many hands made it light work, a pleasure to do and you are all very much appreciated.

Last Call for Robbie Burns Supper ~ January 30th

Don't miss the  special appearance of the Gypsy Dancers of the Salish Sea performing a Scottish themed dance. And of course the dinner, a real life piper, Highland lassie, speeches, limerick contest, Scottish Country Dancers, and lots of fun and merriment. Alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
