TIVFD May 26th Traffic Control Practice

The TIVFD Auxiliary Traffic Control Practice is scheduled for Monday, May 26th, at the School/Community Hall section of North Cove Road between 9 & 11 AM.  Traffic delays should not be longer than 3 minutes.  Please consider the time element if you are taking the 11:10 morning ferry.

Our main objective for this meeting is to review the impact of the April 28 schedule change and investigate what adjustments might be desirable. 

Members of the public are welcome to attend the meeting; if you wish to raise an issue with BC Ferries please contact the myself in advance of the meeting and we will ensure that time is available for you to speak. However, this is not an open house session and submissions from the public must be notified in advance. If you're not able to attend, but would like to have a question raised, please feel free to give me a call or send me an email.

Babysitter Required ~ June 20 & 21

A couple from Mexico who are attending a wedding at Overbury on the weekend of June 21st are looking for a babysitter for their 2 year old daughter.

The couple are staying at Overbury.  They would like a babysitter from 1:00 pm to 1:00 am perhaps earlier but not later. They would also be interested in hiring the babysitter for a few hours on Friday night as well.

Sludge in Preedy Harbour ~ May 19th

Does anyone know what was floating in the water-going in and out with the tide last week? It looked like a sludge of some kind and filled the whole bay near us. I would not have stepped near the water. Any insight would be appreciated.
