What's fresh @ Jollity Farm? Long Weekend Supplies!

Open Saturday 10-1

Salad
Eggplant
Peppers
Cabbage
Kale
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Asian Greens
Cucumbers
Tomatoes
Onion and Garlic
Parsley
Beans
Hakurei turnips
Beets
Carrots
Pears, quince and apples
Squash
Cilantro
+ Ice cream back in stock and some new Hibiscus sodas!

We've ordered extra bread from True Grain this week and will have some fresh loaves of Focaccia available too.
Since Friday is harvest processing day at the farm, we'll aim to have a few extra goodies as well... thinking a quince or pear chutney would be nice for holiday feasts!

We will still have a small number of organic chickens left at the Chemainus farm shop. Let us know if you'd like one and we'll bring back to the farm. The next batch of chickens will be ready prior to Christmas.

With thanks,

Jollity Farmers

Thai Chicken Coconut Curry Soup

Potato Leek (Veg)

Naan Bread / Baguette

Assorted Fruit Loaves

Cookies

Suggested donation of $7 for soup, bread, treats and teas & coffee.

Soup’s On is entirely carried out by volunteers and, as one of the tasks is the program’s accounting, please do not pay with coins smaller than loonies and toonies. All change must be counted and rolled, and it’s work that we would like to do less of.

For those who find large groups challenging, enjoy your lunch in our designated quiet room, the Library.

Everyone is welcome to join us, seniors, seniors who don’t think they’re seniors, workers, families, and everyone who just wants a mid-day meal!

Menu remainders for take-out when available. Soup’s On also supports the Thetis Island Food Pantry.

Housing Needed for Penelakut Teacher

Hi,

I’m a new teacher on Penelakut Island. I am currently commuting from Saltspring and Victoria, depending on the day, and I’m looking for something to rent to minimize the commute. I would love an affordable, small rental. Somewhere I could stay a few nights during the week while I’m working. I am in my mid 40’s, I’m quiet, respectful, I love to garden and I always leave a space better than I found it. I do have a large, quiet and calm dog and take him to work with me. If you have something that you’re open to renting please get in touch.

Thank you.
