I bought the wrong strength 325 reading glasses if anyone could use the two pairs. They are both unused & need a new home.
The short reprieve is over. We have moved back to EXTREME in our area. There may be some relief at the end of the week, but the winds have dried us out and the temperatures are reaching 30 C.
All HIGH HAZARD Activities must cease until the Fire Danger Class drops again to HIGH.
The Wildfire Act and Wildfire Regulation define the legal responsibilities and obligations to which everyone in British Columbia is subject. When the BC Wildfire Service places bans or restrictions in an area, the Wildfire Act and Regulation make them enforceable.

Come in. Cool down. Chat with people or read a book.

There is a large tree down on the Lawrence Community Trail. It’s passable by climbing over, but not dangerous. We aren’t closing the trail but be aware that there is an obstacle on the trail. Once we are able to attend to it, we’ll let you know that the trail is once again clear.

Finalized agenda will be posted on e-spokes and https://www.thetisposts.ca/ ; within the week prior.

Two accomplished songwriters - Deborah Holland and Matt Kennedy - will play a summer concert as a duo at Carolyn Askew's 'white house lawn' (#62 North Cove Rd.) on Saturday, August 23rd at 7:30 pm.
Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the show.
Deborah (www.deborahholland.com) has written songs for decades, performed twice on the David Letterman Show, and was a member of jazz pop band Animal Logic with Stewart Copeland (The Police) and legendary bassist Stanley Clarke.
Matt leads the busy 5-piece Vancouver band Headlong Hearts (www.headlonghearts.com ) who just played at Thetis' Forbes Hall in June. Tickets: suggested $15 - available through Matt at mgkennedy1000@gmail.com and at the 'door' on Aug 23.
I'm looking to borrow a treadmill to help my parents. My dad has recently lost his eyesight. My dad is a very active man who is struggling with boredom with the limitations in this new chapter in his life. He can be a bit stubborn . I would like him to try a treadmill before buying one.
My plan is hook him up with headphones and download some podcasts on his iPhone. His Dr said his muscles are going into atrophy and I think the podcast walks would be good for him mentally and physically. This will give my mom a break too.
Podcast recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you. Lynda Poirier

If you are missing your spare tire, I saw one in the ditch on Sunday, just past Lot 181 on North Cove Road. It is on the side of the nature parks & is somewhere between the two parks.
