Thetis Island Pub Closure

We at the Thetis Island Pub are very sad to say that we are temporarily closed due to staffing. The winter team we had lined up to work in the kitchen have pulled out and until we find a new team, we don't have the staff to stay open.

We are currently looking for line cooks and when we have the staff needed, we'll re-open. If anyone is looking to work in the kitchen or knows someone looking for a kitchen job, please send them our way. We have accommodation available for the right people.

As it stands, the PUB IS CLOSED 7 DAYS A WEEK until further notice.

The store is open 10am - 6pm every day.

We're very sorry for the inconvenience and hope to be back up and running as soon as possible.

Post Office Information

The postal strike has shut down regular mail delivery until it is over. The new hours and days of operation are

This week: open this Monday Sep 29 regular hours 1000 to 5:00 PM. This will be Liesbeth's last shift so come in and say goodbye to her and thank her for her service over the last 3 years. Couldn't have done it without you Lies.

Moving forward we will be open once a week on Wednesdays 1000 to 5:00 PM ONLY until the strike is resolved.

Those of you that receive government cheques by mail it is my understanding that those will be coming through and can be picked up on the Wednesday.

Currently waiting on direction from Canada Post. If these cheques are arriving this week, we may be open this Wednesday to distribute when they come in.

· Your Name and Lot #

· Lot # of proposed fire

· Contact phone number(s)

· Confirmation that you read and accepted the restrictions

· Date of campfire

A response will be provided within the day. Note that permits for campfires are required until the end of October. Further information can be found on the Fire Permits Page on the TIFVD website.

September Issue of 'The Ripple' is Now Here!

Hello,
This summer was full of life at the Nature House, with nature-inspired arts and crafts, guided walks and talks, and expert-led workshops bringing our community together. As the seasons begin to shift, the latest issue of 'The Ripple' offers a chance to reflect on two of our most meaningful summer programs.

We explore the story of the new Sea Life Centre at Telegraph Harbour Marina, now home to our beloved Seaquarium, where marine life meets curious minds. We also celebrate the remarkable success of the Purple Martin Recovery Program, a shining example of what community-led conservation can achieve.

Lawrence Valley Loop Trail – Seasonal Closure

To reduce the impact on an eco-sensitive area and mitigate liability risks the Lawrence Valley Loop section of trail crossing the floodplain meadow will have a seasonal closure. This trail section will be closed between November 1st and March 1st. A sign noting this closure will be posted at each end of the trail section, at Mission Road and at the Lawrence Valley Trail junction with Dingly Dell Trail. Closure dates may be adjusted based on actual rainfall within each year.

FREE 5th Wheel Trailer

Giving away a 5th wheel trailer. It’s been well loved and lived in for the summer season. Getting rid of because we’re moving and it has no papers. Has electric hook up and water hook up. Does need some work. There’s new flooring up top and fairly new flooring on the bottom. My dog has thoroughly enjoyed the sofa so will be taking that out before gifting. It’s around 22ft max.
