Friday, May 3, 2024 at 7:56AM Thetis Island Improvement District is the governing body for the Thetis island Fire Department and the organisation which is authorized to levy taxes for the support of the Fire Department and First Responders.
The Thetis Island Community is dear to me and like many of my neighbours I care deeply about its immediate and long term health.
While adding my own ideas for sustained funding and support to the Improvement District I will always welcome input and ideas from others who share the same vision.
I will not be swayed by lobbying from special interest groups who would lead policy change with self-interest.
Entrusted with the sustained safety, enhancement and support of our First responders, Firefighters and Auxiliaries I will always work to pursue the best interests for ALL Thetis Islanders.
If you have not already done so, please vote between 10 and 11 am prior to the AGM on Saturday May 4th.

Friday, May 3, 2024 at 7:55AM We are trying to discourage a River Otter from moving under our shop...ammonia, bleach, moth balls, live trap, have all failed.
Does anybody have an electric fence arrangement we could buy/rent/borrow...do not want to injure but discourage him/her.

Adam Sandell is a GP and medical advisor to the BC Ministry of Health on MAID, and he provides teaching and training on MAID. He’ll be giving a talk and answering questions on MAID eligibility, law and practicalities.
Canada’s medical assistance in dying (MAID) law seeks to respect personal autonomy for those seeking access to MAID, while at the same time protecting vulnerable people and the equality rights of all Canadians.
