The Book and Bake Fundraiser is One Week Away. Yikes!

As there isn’t storage, please bring book donations on Thursday. I will be there 10-2. If I am not, please put them in the entry closet or outside. We will put tables out and display on Friday after exercise class at 9.

Also, you can bring books Friday and even Saturday morning if need be. We are pretty flexible.

The Book and Bake sale is from 10-1 on Saturday August 2. This is my 18th year! It is always a lovely day.

No lunch this year but baking, tea, coffee, juice and BOOKS!

I am looking forward to seeing you.

Goosey Gander Shop is open this weekend Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm

In between all the important water related happenings this weekend, if you have a chance, drop in and have look at all the items for sale from your Thetis Island neighbours.

A bit more yarn has arrived, along with a solid wood glider rocker in wonderful condition. There are also some tiny adorable pewter trinket jewelry boxes in, a spice shelf with ceramic drawers, an experienced basketball hoop with net, a colourful hammock, a sweet model of a fishing boat, and to keep on the water theme, three gutter mounted roof sprinklers and an outdoor shower rig too.

Have a fun and informative Water Weekend.

Thank you,

Nan Beals

Thank You for a Fantastic Sea Star Count!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the Annual Sea Star Count at Clam Bay this past Thursday! We had a fantastic turnout, and thanks to your enthusiasm and teamwork, the count was completed in record time.

A special shout-out to the Lambs - to Andy for his expert guidance and to Virginia for treating us to her delicious cookies and plums!

Here’s what we found:
1,620 purple sea stars - including 18 showing signs of wasting
15 leather stars
1 mottled star

Your participation makes a real difference in monitoring the health of our marine ecosystems. We appreciate your time, energy, and community spirit.

See you next year!
