When an item is found at Forbes Hall, please leave it in the entry coat racks – hanging if able, and on the shelf above, if not.

When looking for an item you have forgotten at Forbes Hall, look in the entry coat racks – either hanging or on the shelf above.

After a month or so, we may post that the article is there for pick up, and if it continues its residency at Forbes Hall, it will be taken to the thrift store for a new life.

Woody is back from Holiday and Raring to go for this Wed, Nov 8

The initial message last month produced multiple replies. These properties are first on the list, and there should be capacity for more. 

No promises as it is difficult to estimate).

The typical volume is one to two VW beetles equivalent volume of branches to give you an idea.

This event is made possible by the "All about Smoke" community grant from Island Health and community volunteer labor.

Expectations:- 

homeowner will assist to the best of their abilities with the chipping process (please use gloves and appropriate eye, ear and toe protection)

- branches are piled in a place readily accessible by 50' long pickup & Woody trailer.

Many hands make light work, and additional volunteers would be appreciated to help expedite the chipping process at each property, and maximize the number of properties we can reach. If you can help, please let me know how much time you can offer and we will figure out how to co-ordinate.
Info which will be needed from participants:

1. What type of material do you have? Size, species etc.

2. What quantity?

3. What is the address / location?

4. Best access for 50' long pickup / trailer setup?

5. Do you want the chips, or want them removed? (So far everyone who has responded would like to keep the chips, which is great, as this makes it a lot simpler).

Please respond before midday on Tuesday.

I will send out an email on Tuesday night to advise the route and / or some idea of the estimated arrival time to each property.

LPN Burnet (Burnie) Nicholson will be taking clients for a two-day clinic on November 10th and 11th at Forbes Hall.

Basic Foot Care includes:

•       Lower Legs and feet nursing assessment

•       Toenail cutting and reduction.

•       Callous/Corn reduction and education/interventions to decrease or eliminate recurrence within LPN scope of practice.

•       Hang nail /ingrown nail mitigation.

•       Foot massage and moisturizing of skin

•       Diabetic foot assessment and basic care

•       Basic wound care/dressing changes/pressure point mitigation

•       Referrals to complex foot care health professionals

Fee per client: $75 with appointments taking 1 hour generally.

Minimum clients to proceed: 6 per day

Maximum clients for the 2-day clinic: 12

Fiberglass Corner Shower Stall

Free 3' x 3' white one piece fiberglass shower stall. Has been rough stored in the bush for a couple of years, planning to use for some sort of outdoor shower situation, but the missus won't have it. Gotta go. Still perfectly good as far as I can tell.

Stolen: Red and Orange Dresses/Shirts

Sometime around Oct 30--Nov 2 someone cut down and stole the red and orange dresses/shirts we had hanging from trees by the side of Pilkey Point Road (lot 129, between Clam Bay & Sunrise Pt Roads).

This theft is a sad and disturbing insult to the memory of the First Nations women and children lost and abused in Canada.

We would appreciate the return of the stolen items -- no questions asked.

If anyone would like to donate replacement red dresses or orange shirts,we will hang them in remembrance of  the lost First Nations persons.

STOLEN; 2 Lithium Iron Phosphate Batteries

From our RV at the north end of N. Cove Rd sometime Thursday to this am. 

Thief, they are no good for use in a car, truck or other RV as the voltage is incorrect. They have an all black case, no manufacturers label on them, with bolts that screw into the terminals. 

I will pay a reward for information leading to their return in good condition.
