Visit TICA’s Table at the Christmas Market

While you are at the Christmas market this Saturday, stop by the TICA table.

We will have the new 2024 calendars and note cards for sale.

Calendars: $25

Note Cards: packets of 4 for $15 or, individually $4 each.

Thetis Island Maps - three sizes are available, small and medium ready to go, and full-size by special order.

T-shirts, Ball Caps and Fleece Blankets

Thetis Island Merchandise will also be available for sale on Saturday.

If not for you, these make excellent gifts for friends and family.

Fresh off the printing press is a new order of t-shirts with Bill Dickie’s island image, showing Thetis Island as you approach by ferry.

These tees are available in a variety of colors for women, men, youth and toddler.

As well, there are long sleeve and short sleeve t-shirts complete with an image of Maynard Johnny Jr.’s art installation which is featured on the exterior of Forbes Hall Community Centre.

TICA donates 5% of sales from these t-shirts go to Hope and Health, a charitable organization that Maynard supports. The donations support sports programs for Penelakut youth.

Proceeds Benefit TICA’s Back into the Black Debt Reduction Initiative

Mobile Dental Hygiene Services

My name is Meghan Mitchell, and I am a dental hygiene practitioner that works in a mobile dental hygiene van. I have been practicing for over 14 years and I also instruct in the Dental Hygiene Program at VIU.

I work in Nanaimo and surrounding area currently, and most of my clientele is on Gabriola. I am hoping to expand to Thetis Island, so if anyone is interested in a dental hygiene appointment please let me know.

I bill directly to insurance and I provide a calm and relaxing atmosphere. I follow the fee guide for the province of dental hygienists, which is a little lower than a dental office.

I have attached my website for pictures and information.

Thank you,
Meghan Mitchell

Help Getting Back into the Workforce

Are you looking for help getting back into the workforce?

Do you know someone who needs a leg up?

Are you an employer and interested in wage subsidies and other employee supports?

On Wednesday November 29th, 10:30-11:30 at Forbes Hall, Johnna Puusa from WorkBC will be discussing the many supports that the BC Government provides to help people return to the workforce. Assistance can come in many forms and often can be customized to an individual's requirements. If you are looking to rejoin the workforce, or know someone who is looking, this is an important meeting to attend.

This talk is sponsored by the Forbes Hall Health Services Committee, please contact David Reay (778-899-3216) if you have any questions.
