Tuesdays at 7:00... See you there!

Well that was certainly an exciting Christmas weather-wise: snow, hail, ice, wind, sun, atmospheric river, high tides, some frozen pipes, a power outage, etc. But what shone through was the spirit of Thetis Islanders. To date you have donated 750 lbs. of food to the food bank and 95 pairs of new socks!
We are extending the Fire Dept. Food Bank drop off to this Wednesday afternoon, December 28th. We are only 250 lbs. short of the half a ton of food donations we were shooting for, so check your cupboards for those tins of asparagus soup or chunk tuna fish that you aren’t going to use (they must not be out of date) and drop them off at the Fire Department. Packaged non-expired groceries are delightfully accepted.
Whatever the final total is that we reach, we are very appreciative of how generous our community is towards our neighbours who are struggling a bit to make ends meet.

I am assisting Grete to find a vehicle for basic transportation.
Checking on Thetis before looking elsewhere.
Ideally reasonably reliable and in lower price range

Can anyone refer us to a professional wood flooring finisher?
TIA.

The library will not have an attendant this Saturday or Sunday.
However, the library will be open Monday from 10-1.
Come and have a social visit by the cozy fireplace at the hall, check out the library and maybe a book or DVD while you are there.
Tea, coffee and treats will be served.
Happy holidays,
Celine
The PO will be open Saturday Sept 24 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
We got some mail and parcels. The parcels are all sorted and available for pick up. Should have all of the mail up in the PO boxes by 10:00 AM.
Closed Monday and Tuesday
Canada Post will not be working Monday 26 and Tuesday 27. Therefore, we will not be open on those dates. We will be open Wednesday Dec 28 normal hours for parcel pick up and will, hopefully, have a full load of mail in at 1:30. Both Zola and Fred will be working in the afternoon to get as much sorted as possible and, depending on volume, will have it all ready by Thursday morning. Have a very good holiday and special thanks to all for the best wishes and wonderful little gifts that have been bestowed on us. We truly appreciate it.
Fred and Zola
