For Sale:

Large bohemian style wicker basket that is both practical and aesthetically pleasing for your storage needs. Incredibly versatile, it‘s perfect for housing throw blankets and pillows, storing extra linens and towels, or perhaps as a catch-all toy bin for the kiddos! With two side handles and removable lid, it’s in wonderful condition and stands 21” high (with the lid) and 17” wide. Asking $35.

Stunning Mid Century, three-tiered, solid wood trolly that would be an easy addition to any home. With the wood offering warmth and the clean lines offering simplicity, it’s the small details such as trim, rounded corner tops, and smoothly rolling brass wheels that really bring it altogether. Could be a plant stand, used for displaying beautiful china, or as a portable coffee bar. It’s in excellent condition with only a slight bend on the top shelf. Measures 31” tall, 24” wide, and 16” deep. Asking $100.

Please text Sarah at 403-952-7198 for photos or checkout @small.island.finds on Instagram.

Gerry Smith Celebration of Life

Dear All,

Thank you so much to those who attended Gerry's Celebration of Life Tuesday whether virtually or in person. In all there were about 70 people. Many of us, (including his son!) learned more about what sort of a chap he was.

Sorry about the sound issues for those there virtually - my fault. Serena is making a final version of the video that she will upload to YouTube in a week or two's time. There those who couldn't hear it well may do so. Also, if anyone has photos they would like to include in the video please send them to her asap at serenats@outlook.com.

Love to all, Jeremy.

St. Margaret's Cemetery Annual Work Party

The St. Margaret's Cemetery Committee is organizing a work party for Sunday May 7th, 9:30 - 12:00. At noon we will break for a picnic lunch and an opportunity to share stories about the lives of the people buried in the Cemetery.

The invite goes out to the entire island community. Many of the graves have loving caretakers, but there are a few whose family and friends are no longer here or unable to take care of them. It is our hope that members of the community would be willing to come out and look after these graves.

I don't know of a better way to spend a morning than taking time out our lives to spend taking care of the memory of people who are now part of our rich island history.

If you are interested but have questions, please feel free to contact me.
