Forbes Hall Library

Each week there are scheduled times when a volunteer library attendant is on duty.

We look forward to having you join us, we’re there to answer questions, talk about ideas, and generally there to help you out, if needed.  On Sundays we offer tea and goodies – a happy place to meet for a chat with fellow island bibliophiles.

Hours:

Saturday 10:00 am until 1:00 pm

Sunday 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm

Monday 10:00 am until 1:00 pm

The library is always open after 10:00 am when there is a Community Activity at the hall and the entry door is open.  We have a simple honour system for signing out books and DVDs, instructions are at the sign out desk.  If you need help, ask the attendant on duty.  For returns when the building is closed, please use the drop box by the Courtside Entrance.

We hope you enjoy our lovely little island library.

Celine,

your volunteer librarian

TIVFD: Food Bank Extension

Hello generous Community:

We are going to try for a record…we are now at 650 lbs. of donated groceries and 45 pairs of new socks for our combined Harvest House and local Food Banks.  We would very much like our community to get bragging rights for a 1/2 ton (1,000 lbs.) of donated food by New Year’s Eve, so we are extending the drop off date for your unexpired packaged food and warm socks etc. to December 28th afternoon.  Let’s see if we can hit the mark and bring in the New Year with satisfaction by donating for our less fortunate neighbours.

Missing 9” x 13” Baking Pan from Forbes Hall

A new 9” x 13” non-stick baking pan has gone missing from the main kitchen at Forbes Hall.  Most likely it has been taken home with leftovers in it.

Please return to the hall at your earliest convenience and leave it in the main kitchen by the sanitizer.

Many thanks

Ann & Don
