Christmas in July for the Food Bank

Starting this Friday, the 14th we are collecting for the 12 Days of Christmas in July for the Food Bank. Drop off your non-perishable, unexpired extra groceries in the box at the fire hall door (296 Mission Road) and our local food bank will be extremely happy to distribute them. Thank you all!

Goosey Gander Shop Thank You

Thank you to all of you who brought such an amazing variety of wonderful and interesting items to sell and thank you to everyone who came to shop and have a look this weekend. Many items found new happy homes!

We’ll be open on the weekends, Saturday and Sunday 10 to 4 for the summer, so we’ll always be looking for more goods to keep the shopping fun and interesting. If you have something(s) you might not need anymore and would like to sell, and someone else would find useful, please do call or write for a convenient time to bring them over during the week.

You set the price you would like, and we log them in with a 25% commission for the shop, then we take your picture with them so that nothing is misplaced. Then when your item(s) are sold we log in the sale and pay you at month’s end.

Huge Shoutout to TIVFD

A huge shoutout to Jeannine, Chad, Dave, Marjan and Peter for their top-notch assistance to our visiting mother when she took a fall and broke her ankle yesterday. Transport to Duncan was swift and expert. She received surgery by dinner time and was in good spirits.

Celebration of Life for Catherine Korol

Bill Korol and the family of Catherine Korol would like to invite you to a celebration of life for Catherine on September 23, 2023. 

It will be held at Forbes Hall, 292 North Cove Road Thetis Island, BC from 2-3:30 p.m. There will be opportunity for everyone to share memories of Catherine and visit together. 

We plan on serving tea, coffee and light snacks. 

For those coming by ferry, you are more than welcome to come directly to the Hall. The ferry leaves Chemainus at 12:30 and arrives at Thetis Island at 1:20. Following the gathering, there is a ferry leaving Thetis Island at 4:45 which arrives at Chemainus at 5:20 p.m.
