Looking for a Vacant Home that Needs to be Loved by a Little Family

Hello lovely Thetis folks - Jess the newbie here again!

I am eagerly on the hunt for permanent housing as the housing I had arranged has fallen through due to unforseen events out of my control.

The home I'm living in now was always meant to be temporary, so I'm in a time crunch to find a more permanent home. I'd require two to three bedrooms, ideally private and on some land for my two kiddos and dog to thrive. I'm a very responsible tenant and work remotely from home with a reliable income. My son is loving it at Thetis Elementary and I have found my heart is on Thetis, so I'd love to keep our family here if at all possible.

Perhaps your neighbor needs someone to caretake their home or you have a wee cabin in the back woods you don't use? I'm also happy to vacate a couple weeks a year in the summer if that is required for the owner. If you have something that may be coming available in the next two to three months and is available long term, I'd love to connect asap! I'd be forever grateful. My budget is flexible.

Please reach me at harbourcitycontent@gmail.com and thank you very much in advance!

Reminder: This Week’s Soup’s On is Cancelled

Due to numerous COVID outbreaks on Thetis, we have made the decision cancel Soup’s On for this week.
We plan to resume on November 23rd.

This was a big decision to make, and our stalwart volunteers agreed that it was best for this week.

Take care everyone,

Woodworker to make Custom Doors

Looking for an island woodworker to build four custom, insulated doors. Timeline is 3-4 months, so can be accomplished as a winter hobby of sorts.  I can purchase materials upfront so there isn’t a cost burden.

Ukulele Cancelled

Seems that all social gatherings are being cancelled for this week, due to another visit from our unwelcome Cousin Covid. Thus, to be on the safe side, Ukulele shall be cancelled for this week. (Too bad because James had a set of Christmas music all prepared for hands and voices. So… next Tue. aft. at 4:00 pm, we shall welcome the Christmas spirit.)

See y’all then,

Ken

Orange Harmonica

I drove on Moore Hill and noticed the wee tree at viewpoint had no orange harmonica in its branches. I planted with my friend the little tree in memory of my mother. I visit it very often and have taken care of the tree so it will be free to grow further.

The wedding bell and globe are still hanging there in the tree, and I miss the harmonica.

If you have removed it and read this, pls be so kind and thoughtful to return it to its rightful spot.

It is a memorial tree. for a very long time now, years.

Thank you for returning the instrument........
