Refundable Container Program

A hearty thank-you to our community for your continued support for your local Elementary School through the refundable bottles & cans!  Every year we are able to provide needed equipment, cover costs of field trips, and enhance the classroom learning for the children of our community because of your generosity.  

A note about the new refundable milk containers - Coffee Cream Cartons are not part of the refundable program.  Please recycle those with your regular wax cartons rather than bringing them with your bottles & cans.

Update Howling Wolf Farm Market

Dear Friends:
You may have noticed we have been closed the last few days. Bad news a terrible earthquake at our home in Ilocos Norte, Philippines has Marylyn very stressed and needing to attend. Our family is safe, but a lot of contents are destroyed. The good news is that Davis and Loey now have a baby boy! Lot’s going on!

We try hard to accommodate our lovely Islanders so if you have a need, please let us know and bear with us.

Forbes Hall Library

Each week there are scheduled times when a volunteer library attendant is on duty. 

We look forward to having you join us, we're there to answer questions, talk about ideas, and generally there to help you out, if needed.  On Sundays we offer tea and goodies - a happy place to meet for a chat with fellow island bibliophiles. 

Hours: 

Saturday 10:00am until 1:00pm

Sunday 1:00pm until 4:00pm

Monday 10:00am until 1:00pm

The library is always open after 10:00am when there is a Community Activity at the hall and the entry door is open.  We have a simple honour system for signing out books and DVD's, instructions are at the sign out desk.  If you need help, ask the attendant on duty.  for returns when the building is closed, please use the drop box by the Courtside Entrance.

We hope you enjoy our lovely little island library.

Four Sheep for Sale

We are selling 4 lovely 2.5 year old ewes and would love to find a home on Thetis Island for them. They have all had twins this past spring and were great moms. Easy care, friendly and good for breeding for lamb or raising for their wool. A beautiful addition to your acreage (and great for land/blackberry management too!).

Looking to Borrow a Fire Pit Ring for a Day

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has a fire ring I could borrow for Sunday, October 30th for a few hours?

It is for the PAG Community Walkthrough Event. Regardless if it rains or not, it's starting to get chilly out there and a bit of warmth from a crackling fire would be thoroughly appreciated.

Help Needed

Ahoy fellow boaters of Thetis Island our main water pump has died, not sure if it is the pump itself or a loose wire… we could use some help with troubleshooting and repair or replacement!

Assessing Interest for Yoga/Meditation Classes

Hi Thetis community!

Jess, the newbie, here. I'm wanting to connect with the community to see if there would be any interest in a weekly Yoga/Meditation/Sound Healing session.

I'd be available to run it on Friday evening or Saturday. I'm a registered Yoga Instructor and Meditation teacher and love to incorporate Tibetan Singing Bowls and Hangdrum into my teachings. I studied in India so my teaching is very authentic, goes deep into the soul, and usually my clients have left my sessions feeling deeply relaxed and connected to self.

I can also offer private/in home sessions if that is of interest to anyone. Please email me at  harbourcitycontent@gmail.com if this interests you and if there is enough interest I will look at finding a space to conduct it.

I'm missing teaching since moving here and I'd love to share these tools with the community. I look forward to hearing from you! Also, if you have a potential space to rent for this type of thing, I'd love to connect!
