Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 10:05AM This past year we experienced a number of feeding frenzies off the coast of Thetis Island. Thetis residents caught these exciting events on camera from shorelines and waters around the island and a number of photos were shared with us for our recent article on forage fish in The Ripple.
Thank you to all who shared their beautiful photos/footage!
Enjoy the slideshow!

Friday, February 3, 2023 at 7:57PM It is the time of the year to get some cutting done in the garden on the shrubs etc. and it is certainly always good to help our wild bees/bumble bees/butterflies/hummingbirds!!! a little more. So I am looking for some cuttings to get more variety.
If anyone has some cutting to share like:
flowering Currant or red Currant or Lilac or Perovskia or Salvia or any other cuttings from shrubs/plants which will generate some useful flowering please let me know.
Thanks,
Matthias -- phone or text : 250-301-8499

Friday, February 3, 2023 at 7:54PM Morris, aka The King, and most likely a descendant of Morris the Cat is looking for a place to hang out for a few weeks in March.
Morris is a 7-year-old ginger male, neutered, tattooed and chipped, indoor kitty with a big personality. He has a big motor and keeps it on most of the time. Morris loves people and kids. He is just a Big Lover of Life.
We are away from March 6-31 and would love to have that "special" spot and person(s) for Morris to enjoy. And he is good with doggies. Thanks everyone!!
