Thetis Island Christmas Market Update

A huge thank you to all who took part in the Thetis Island Christmas Market - buyers, sellers and all those hard-working people beavering away in the background! 
 
It was a busy, noisy, fun day with good food, great company and amazing things on display.  
 
The Door Prize (a value of around $500!!) was won by Jacquelyn Proc and 
Tim Stalker won the Jellybean Count with a guess that was the closest to 635.  
 
What a super day!

Even though the parking lot looks snowed in, the restaurant, liquor store and post office is still open, just take the stairs.

TICA: New Style T-shirts Now Available

Thank you to all who purchased the new style t-shirts Wednesday at Soup’s On.  

The black long-sleeved t-shirts feature an image of Maynard Johnny Jr.'s prominent art installation at Forbes Hall Community Centre. Proceeds from the sale of these shirts will not only benefit TICA, but hopeandhealth.org as well, a charity which Maynard supports. 

The shirts will be available at the Christmas Market this Saturday at Forbes Hall Community Centre.

Chemainus Harvest House (Food Bank) Donations at the Christmas Market

Rodney Brownlee will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items, cheques or cash for the Chemainus Harvest House (which serves Thetis Islanders) .

Forbes Hall Library

Each week there are scheduled times when a volunteer library attendant is on duty.
 
We look forward to having you join us, we’re there to answer questions, talk about ideas, and generally there to help you out, if needed.  On Sundays we offer tea and goodies – a happy place to meet for a chat with fellow island bibliophiles.
 
Hours:
Saturday 10:00 am until 1:00 pm
 
Sunday 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm
 
Monday 10:00 am until 1:00 pm
 
The library is always open after 10:00 am when there is a Community Activity at the hall and the entry door is open.  We have a simple honour system for signing out books and DVDs, instructions are at the sign out desk.  If you need help, ask the attendant on duty.  For returns when the building is closed, please use the drop box by the Courtside Entrance.
 
We hope you enjoy our lovely little island library.
