Covid Clinic on Thetis

Many islanders are getting their notifications that they are now eligible for their booster shots and are asking about it.  

This is just a reminder that the TICA Health Care Committee will be meeting on Thursday with representatives from VIHA to discuss the possibility and timing of a Covid vaccine clinic here on Thetis.  

They expect to be able to report on the results of the meeting on Friday.  We will put out an update as soon as we know whether and when you can have it done here.

ThINC Nature House Activities Today

9:00 am start: Wednesday Wander at North Cove Beach (all ages) 
This week’s Wander will be an easy stroll along the coast, during the walk we will use iNaturalist to record bird, plant, and marine species we spot along the way! We will also talk about the shell midden present on this beach. Meet at the very end of North Cove Road for this hour-long excursion! 

2:00 pm start: How to Make Herbal Infused Vinegars & Sea Salt at the PAG, Lot 62 North Cove Road (all ages)
Make your own infused vinegars and sea salt using herbs from the PAG! In this 1-hour workshop, we will be using common herbs from the garden to make delicious garnishes. Infused vinegars can spice up a salad dressing and infused sea salt make a delicious addition to any meal! Come on down to the People's Apothecary Garden for a demonstration and take home your own goodies!

First, big thanks to all who came out to ThINC’s 10 Year Anniversary Party! It was a great success with over 60 people attending the dinner and many more joining us on the dance floor. Also, a special thanks to our guests who made the experience extra special.

Jollity Farm Weekly Order Reminders

Dairy (milk & yogurt) & True Grain Bakery orders due this morning by 10am.

Grocery and produce orders due by Wednesday evening.

Peas, salad, kale or chard bouquets, parsley, new potatoes, eggs all available for pick up at farmstand on Wednesday (by request)

Local Lamb from Thetis Island Farm Co-operative

Would you like a share or side of Thetis Island pasture raised lamb? (you can share with friends and family)
Lambs will be harvested and processed at the Gov. certified abattoir in Duncan this fall.

We'll be working on dates and costs this week, but we'd like to know how many people are interested.
