Reminder: be alert to ticks

If you or your pets are in the bushes, check out the BC Gov page on ticks.
https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/industry/agriculture-seafood/animals-and-crops/plant-health/insects-and-plant-diseases/home-garden/ticks

It has info on “our” tick, the "Western Black Legged" Tick: how to remove them and how to protect yourself.

The best method of removal is to twirl the tick until it backs out whole, then burn or totally squash it.  The trick is to never squeeze the tick so that it regurgitates its stomach contents back into the bite or pull it out leaving the head and jaw parts in place to get infected.

This information has been posted before and may be posted again as needed.

Noise Complaints

Some of our residents were woken up in the middle of the night (from 2 to 3 a.m.) by constant, loud revving of engines.  A little consideration for others would certainly go a long way to making everyone's life a little more comfortable.

This is not the first time that we have been inconvenienced by loud noises when we should all be sleeping, but we would appreciate it if it was the last - or we may have to report it.
