Last Call for Harvest House Donations

Wednesday December 17th is the last morning the TIVFD is collecting your much appreciated donations for our local TI Food Pantry and Harvest House Food Bank in Chemainus.

Your donations help individuals and families on Thetis and Penelakut Islands, Crofton, Chemainus and Saltair. It will be a tight Christmas for many. Thank you all who have given generously. We will be collecting up until the end of Soups On and then Rodney will be taking everything over to Harvest House for sorting. The Food Bank boxes are at the front door of the Fire Hall on Mission Road.

The members of the Thetis Island Volunteer Fire Department thank you for supporting our residents and neighbours this holiday season.

Does Anyone have a Place for a Person with a Dog just for the Night?

He is the individual whose boat got stranded on the rocks at Penelakut. I have called emergency services three times, and I’ve not heard back from them.

Please call Jesse at the island Marina pub
He has a four-year-old dog.

Pick Up Needed from Apple Press in Duncan

I need someone to pick up the Winter Quarterly from Apple Press in Duncan.

I've been hit with the flu and am unable to do this. Due to some technical issues this Q is already late, my apologies.

If anyone is going to Duncan in the next couple of days Apple Press is on the highway, on the left going south, is just before Coronation Ave and between the new Donair Dude and the Duncan Butchers shop.

Please let me know if you are able to do this,
thanks,

THETIS ECO SHARE SHOP COMING SOON

We are pleased to announce the creation of the Thetis Eco Share Shop coming soon.

What is the purpose of the Share Shop you might ask?
Very simply to reuse, usable household goods and to keep them out of the landfill, as well as to share them with our community. We are avid recyclers and have seen a need for this on Thetis Island.

This share shop has been built by us, on a moveable trailer. We are grateful for the help of many local people’s building material donations and hours of free work.

Keep checking your e-Spokes for more updates.

❄️ Swing Your Partner & Celebrate the Season! 🎻

There is nothing quite like the warmth of community on a cold winter night!

Join us at Pioneer Pacific for a festive evening of English Country and Family Folk dancing.

Get ready to kick up your heels, share some laughs, and make some beautiful Christmas memories in the Main Hall.

Whether you are a seasoned dancer or have two left feet, this night is for you!
Who is invited?
We welcome everyone from ages 1 to 101! A "caller" will teach every dance, so no experience and no partner are necessary—just bring your energy and a smile.

🕰️ The Plan:
5:45 PM: Doors Open – Come in from the cold, say hello, and get settled!
6:30 PM: The music starts and the dancing begins!

🍪 Treats & Eats:
Please join us after you have eaten dinner. We also invite you to bring your favorite Christmas cookies or snacks to share at our community table. It’s the perfect way to sweeten the breaks between sets!

The Details:
📍 Where: Pioneer Pacific Church Camp (Main Hall)
📅 When: Friday, December 19th
🎟️ Cost: By Donation. (All proceeds go directly to keeping us toasty by covering the cost of heating the Main Hall! 🔥)

Bring the whole family!
