Continued EXTREME HAZARD

The Fire Hazard rating for all stations reporting in our area is still EXTREME, despite that “rain” we just had.  We need three days in a row when it drops to HIGH Hazard before we can go back to “early shift” activities.

We are still in a complete High Hazard Activities shutdown.

Thank you for both your patience and your vigilance.

Scottish Country Dancing

Scottish Country Dancing is an excellent form of physical and mental exercise incorporating much fun and lots of laughter. We are getting ready to start dancing again on Monday, September 13th, 4.00 pm in Forbes Hall and we are looking forward to welcoming some new participants.

For those of you wishing to join us, you do not have to bring a partner but we would love it if you do, just come wearing light clothing for easy movement and comfortable soft shoes. Don't be shy if you are a beginner as all former dancers will welcome you and are ready to help you get started.

As it has been a long time since we have been dancing we will be going slowly and reviewing steps and routine movements, it will be the perfect time to start.

This is an adult group (but not too serious) and is suitable for all ages from age sixteen and up (even the Golden Oldies!)

Order EcoEggs!

The sad news is a mink attacked our chickens and took out a few layers :( The good news is our friends and award-winning young farmers at Lockwood Farms (in Cobble Hill) have plenty of EcoEggs to share. We get more requests for eggs than we can provide each week, so now we can fulfill your egg orders as you need them...cluck!

Why EcoEgg?
Free range chickens are raised on pasture and in a net zero solar powered barn! Chickens are fed a biologically appropriate diet of farm veggies, non-gmo feed and sustainably raised Canadian BSFL (Black Soldier Fly Larvae).

Large grade eggs $6.50/dozen
(in near future Med and XL will also be available for your specific baking needs)

Eggs will be packed along with a variety of eggs collected weekly from Thetis Island farms who cooperate to share and pack eggs. You will still get the odd blue, green and dark speckled egg in the mix, although sadly it was a couple green egg layers we lost!

Orders to
info@jollityfarm.ca or text 250.415.0101
You can request a standing weekly order or as you need them. Orders will be due each week by Wednesday evening.
