Lost Dog: Levi is Still Missing

Levi has been missing since Saturday afternoon.

He is a Schnauzer Yorkie cross,

He weighs about 16 - 18 lbs and has short legs and long tan fur.

He was not wearing a collar and was wet from swimming.
Levi was last seen on Fairview Road off Foster Point Road.
That area and beyond have been searched endlessly.
If you have seen Levi, or think you might have seen him,
please contact:
Tim Mattson at 250-714-3832 - # 12 Fairview Road.

Thank you to everyone who has asked about Levi.

Nature House: Dye Tryin' Sustainable Fabrics

This week we’ll be taking inspiration from nature and the vibrant colours around us. Join us at the Nature House for a plant-based fabric dyeing workshop. We’ll be using foraged plants as pigments and food scraps to upcycle your old t-shirts and anything else you’d like to bring to rejuvenate with a pop of colour. Learn about traditional dyeing techniques and get creative by customizing your own clothing. This event will only have two registration sessions. Friday morning and Saturday morning. These will be extended sessions to allow for each participant to finish their fabric dyeing project. Maximum 20 people registered in each session. If this interests you please register at the link right here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1l01psKv9g86TdiGAJzxeHgTlp1Xel8J-5wTWqCutLrU/edit#gid=44615694

Revised Healing Circle Invitation for August 2nd

Hi folks,

Out of respect for the survivors of the residential school system, the Penelakut Tribe has revised their invitation to their two healing circles (July 28 & Aug 4) to Survivors only.

The March for the Children on Aug 2, 2021, is still a go and will be our best way for allies to support the Penelakut Community as they (and I would suggest “we”) start on their/our healing journey.

Penelakut Tribe has asked those coming to the march to wear an orange t-shirt to the March to support the “Every Child Matters - Orange T-shirt day.”

If you have any questions, please get in touch with Peter Luckham or me.

Huy ch q’a,

Doug Fenton
