Re-Registering for Your 2nd COVID Immunization

Everyone who went online or phoned in to register with the Provincial system for their first COVID shot, is registered and on the system to be notified when their cohort comes up for the 2nd shot. 

However, those
who got their first shot before the Provincial system came into effect
on April 6th, need to register in order to be notified and given a date
for the second one.  Go online at https://www.getvaccinated.gov.bc.ca/s/
or phone 1-833-838-2323.  Be sure to have your Care Card number handy. 

We are expecting to be able to have a another clinic here for the second
shots, but no date or details are available yet.

Thetis Island Farm Coop @ Jollity Farm - Asparagus! Eggs!

Our island farm co-operative continues to grow, as seasoned and
fledgling farmers support each other to supply more fresh, seasonal food.

It's that wonderful time of year and Thetis Island grown Asparagus is
here! This spring delicacy won't be around for long so enjoy at it's peak.
We have approx. 30 x 1 lb bunches available this weekend at the farm.
Email to reserve, as they went fast last weekend!

Extra eggs... thanks to more wonderful local farmers we have an
additional supply of X-Large eggs to add to our own. Currently we are
just serving the weekly orders, but likely have a few extras on
Saturday. Reserve ahead to secure.

Accepting orders for mixed salad greens as well.

Jollity is open Saturday 10-1 and we still have potted herbs, heirloom
tomato plants, annuals and perennials.

Wine Bottle Recycling

To the person that left all the U-Brew wine bottles at the returnables site… please take them to the other side for recycling.  There is no capacity for TIPA to deal with such a large volume of recyclable materials.  Alternatively, perhaps there is someone on Thetis that would like several boxes of U-Brew wine bottles.  Either way the bottles are taking up too much space at our sorting site to stay… please remove before Saturday.

Thank you everyone for leaving your returnable containers at our collection site and taking your recycling to Vancouver Island sites for processing… we appreciate your donations and efforts to keep our system running smoothly.

Looking for a Place to Stay in Our Camper

Hello. We are painting contractors who need to stay a week to begin and complete a job. We would be coming towards end of May.  Our clients have generously offered power to our little 16 ft trailer, but we are a bit reluctant to ask if there’s a bathroom to use (in their home!)  I can find no useful information regarding camping on Thetis Island.  All we need is a regular plug for phone charging and an outhouse would do the trick.  We don’t know the island at all, but our client is on Pilkey Pt. Rd. Hoping to find a place to stay close by. If there is no campsite. do you know of anyone who could supply us those services?
