Trail Update

Due to unsafe high water and mud conditions in the meadow bottom and the bridge gone from the area between the brown metal gate and the Community Trail, the Lawrence Valley Loop is currently closed.

When the water recedes a portion will be re-opened.

The area which contained the bridge may be out for some time until approval for re-construction can be gained and a new bridge built to replace it.

The Dingly Dell Trail and the Community Trail are all open.

https://www.cvrd.ca/DocumentCenter/View/84184/MIECM-Emergency-Preparedness-Workbook---2017?bidId=

The " 26 Weeks " segment is a mere two pages of the workbook that is full of valuable information and worth reading all the way through. Copies are also available from your LERN captain.

Week 7

Add more food items and pet supplies to your emergency stash. See  pages 13 and 14 of the workbook.

Week 8

Get a wind-up or battery operated radio and extra batteries for your emergency kit.  Sets are available that will also charge up your phone. Wind-up flashlights can also be useful.

Your ESS Team , wishing you a healthy and prosperous New Year.
