Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:08AM The 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the Thetis Island Nature Conservancy Society will be held on Saturday October 31 at 3 p.m. by ZOOM virtual meeting. If you would like to attend, please pre-register by emailing us at ThINC@thetisisland.net . The day before the meeting we'll send you the agenda and the ZOOM link along with information about how to connect in.
From the comfort of your home, join us to find out what ThINC has been up to this year, review our financial statements and participate in the selection of the board of directors. We apologize that we won't be able to provide tea and cookies this year! Two of our long-time directors are retiring (sadly) so we'd love to welcome new board members who are passionate about nature and interested in conservation and stewardship on Thetis Island. If you would like to join the board, please let us know by email before the meeting.
In order to vote, you must be a member (only $20 a year for an adult or family). If you aren't already a member and would like to join or aren't sure if your membership is up-to-date, please contact our membership coordinator Marcie Welsh at marcie.welsh@gmail.com. Membership forms can be downloaded from the ThINC website
http://thetisislandnatureconservancy.org/
We hope to see you virtually on Oct 31. Thank you for your support for nature and conservation on Thetis Island.
Best wishes,
The ThINC board

Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:07AM We are still planning to go ahead with our yard sale. Please come and support us and the Forbes Hall Expansion project.
Please park on the roadside and enter through the driveway at Lot 64, circle the lot making your purchases along the way and exit through the driveway at Lot 65
Remember to stay socially distant, at least six feet from other people (except those in your own bubble) and please wear a mask.
We have lots to sell, some extremely nice stuff and of course some "junque" too. There are pots and pans, glasses and mugs, good china and pottery and even a Christmas tree along with workshop and garden tools, and bulbs ready to plant now for spring blooming.
Hoping to see you there,
Shirley
Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:04AM It’s that time of year! If you’re planning to pull out for the season and not sure where to start, you can find our recommended checklist under the Marine tab on our website: www.redrockmarine.ca
We also have available space for parking boats up to about 30’ (if you’ve got your own trailer).
As an added service, we can haul you out in the fall and dip you in for the spring with a fresh service for carefree cruising all summer.
If you’re a part-time resident, plan ahead and we can have your boat in the water and ready to go the day you arrive, so no sunny days go to waste.
Last but not least, as we’ve already experienced our first brief power outage, it’s a good reminder to make sure those generators aren’t being neglected. The only thing worse than not having one is having one that won’t run.
The best way to contact us for information or to book a service is by email: travis@redrockmarine.ca or you can leave a message at 250 416 0674 and we’ll get back to you.
