Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 10:52AM I am looking to rent a small shop or garage for a month or two this winter to re-build a small 10-foot sailboat.
I have all my own tools and keep things clean and tidy. The shop or garage should have electricity available.

Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 10:47AM Am finally writing this out, what has been on my mind.
It is about safety for all. Whilst driving the Thetis Is. roads, I have come across many individuals and animals.
Many I have not seen until the last moment, so close, it scared me.
People dressed in dark clothing, no flashlight, or brightness on their clothing to signify themselves on the road.
I hope that we are smart enough to wear bright at night. Flashlight is good, just not shining in driver's eyes, and then one is NOT able to see at all. It has happened to me. One bright light into my eyes and I could not see the person at all, until last moment, frightened the heck out of me.
Animals are also a concern. Have seen cats, dogs, deer (many), racoons, chickens, otters, etc. have been able to avoid them, a good thing.
Have seen many joggers on the road in the daytime, they are seen. One of them wore black, that I didn't see right away as he was jogging on shady side.
Please, be careful out there. Wear reflective vest, or some white clothing, flashlight also.
When in a curve, walk on the wide side. Curves hide walkers. It is scary for drivers. Getting off the road and stand aside is also good when one hears or sees cars coming.
This will keep us all safe. Be mindful. Be kind. Be aware.
Thank you for reading.

Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 10:45AM The 2020 Flu Clinic on Thetis Island will be held on Tuesday, October 27th, from 9:30am to 12:30pm, at the Central Fire Hall on Mission Road. We need to know:
- Are you planning to attend, to get your flu shot here on Thetis?
- What would be your preferred time slot: 9:30-10:30, 10:30-11:30, or 11:30-12:30?
- Please identify anyone 18 years old or younger, as the vaccine will be different for them.
PLEASE EMAIL US AT fluclinic@thetisislandfire.ca to let us know the answers to these questions. We need to know before October 23rd, to give time to order enough vaccine.
There is a webpage at http://mail01.tinyletterapp.com/espokes/thetis-espokes-wednesday-october-14-2020-2-items/18100598-www.thetisislandfire.ca/flu-clinic.html?c=bfb0e2a6-13cb-4a2c-a924-69f813c0bb75 with more information, including some important background information about the vaccines, that VIHA requires that we read.
Thank you to those who have responded already. I will acknowledge all those who let us know, so if you email me and there's no response, please try again, or phone me at 250-246-1509, so we can be sure that the people going through are distributed evenly (not waiting about) and that there's enough vaccine for everyone.
Thanks again,
Veronica Shelford

AGAIN - PLEASE EMAIL US TO LET US KNOW YOU ARE COMING, AND WHEN.
