Thetis Islanders are not alone...

Thetis Islanders are not alone.  People on Vancouver Island also call in smoke sightings, especially during the complete Provincial outdoor burning ban.  This smoke column spotted Sunday morning was large and obviously not from a chimney.

The TIVFD spent almost two hours looking for it. The photo from the Saltair area suggests somewhere on the northwest corner of Thetis Island.  

Please obey Provincial regulations and do not burn illegally.  If you see a column of smoke during the day, call 911.  If you know your neighbour is disregarding the fire ban, talk to them.

We are very sad to announce the passing of Donella Claire (Dee) Smith at approximately 0500 hrs. Saturday, May 2nd. 

She died peacefully at her daughter’s home in Tallahassee, Florida. She greatly valued her 14 years on Thetis Island and the friendships it produced.

Cedar Beach Pizza....And CINNAMON ROLLS!

Just for fun I am taking orders for cinnamon rolls, 4 good sized buns to a pan.

Cost $6.00 per pan  of 4 with icing.

Cost $5.00 with a pizza order.

Buns can be fully baked or par-baked and frozen.  Just bake them off at home when the urge is too strong to resist. Cream cheese icing is provided to finish them off.

Pre-orders appreciated.

Both Saturday and Sunday are open for PIZZA orders.  Get your order in before we sell out.  4 orders per day.  An order can be multiple pizzas.

Soil Update

Thank you to everyone who has expressed interest in receiving soil, garden boosters & container mixes. Due to delivery restrictions we are not able to bring the much larger bulk load we hoped for. We ARE able to bring approx. 30 bags per week to the island, and have been slowly fulfilling your orders.

After everyone's orders are met, we'll continue to bring a regular supply to the farm shop through the spring & summer.
